I have failed my exams for the last time. I am moving out! not out of house but out of my continent. finishing up paying off my debts and packing up and getting out of here.

I love you dermot!
In an effort to not let dermot beat me, and considering its been about 6 months since i updated this, also a lack of wanting to sleep, i come to you to update.
so since my last post dermot nearly died. isn't too good anyway, and i was neglected to be told this information. He is now at home. sans anything. i help K-li pack up his room last night. When I say help I mean supervise. also i got the newpaper to wrap the delph and hoovered.
Exams coming up soon, not happy about it. dont feel comfortable, but never am at this time of year.
I have also grown a healthy distain for my job, finally after working there for a year.
been working on my radio show over the past few weeks, have some great ideas. but no one is taking me up. oh, worrest me.

oh yea. chiropractors rock. after hurting my back lifting 50-60kg loads for a whole day in work my back finally gave and the chiropractor in a matter of minutes sorted most of the pain and stiffness, i feel so much better! he also sorted some knots i had in my back. that werent in pain but would trouble me from time to time.

increasing pressure to update
in an increasing pressure, i am updating my blog, so this is whats happening with me in the coming day weeks and months. for the first time in ages nothing much bad is happening.
first off, the famous compsoc server is live! well kinda, i thought that it was still working like it was on friday, so sent an email this morning saying that is was, but when i went in this afternoon, it wasnt, so it should be sorted tomorrow, but at the same time we are many steps further then we were this time last year. we have also found a use for mr. Dalys' website he so kindly designed for us 2 YEARS! ago. we thank him for that check him out here.
so next week, either monday, or tuesday, im off to training, in drogheda, part of my kitchen design training. which btw, i sold a €6000 kitchen at the weekend, which i get 1% of, or if we hit our target for the week, 1.5%. but enough about that, i will be training, which means, train and accomadation paid for by work, 9am-5pm for 3 days, and the nights in "D hotel" a four star hotel. i will be finishing this training on 5nov. which they send me back for 2 more nights, same situation again! so, love!
This will make a consultant in work, so more pay, and more sales of commisionable amounts. other then that im going to germany and the nederlands. going out on the 13th Nov. i fly out in the morning to duesseldorf, stay a night there. the next day, i grabbed the train and go upto, Venlo, nederlands. there i will spend the weekend with Adam, my friend, now living in Venlo, who used live in Meath. on the sunday i head towards Amsterdam. spend two nights there, get herpes, then hop on a train to koln, spend a few nights there, and the once more on a train, to berlin, then after another few nights there., i hop on the plane home! i will post up exact dates later.
nothing much more to say but xmas implimtation in work today, and its not hallow'een!grrrrr..........!

extension to my lucky day in in hell
well, since my last post my luck wained a small bit, but seemed to be getting luckier again. So we started in Homebase, last thurs, we started a "stock fest"! how fun! 4 days of running sweating, and self mutilation!
This would be my 3rd stock festy thing,(heatons, and dunnes stores!) this was weird. it was relaxed, no rushing, and everyone was calm, even the GM! they also had "free2" vouchers hidden on certain palettes, which entitled the finder to a go in the mystery box, which contained CHOCOLATE! worked thurs evening and fri evening. sat all day. in that time i found a total of 1 voucher and got a mars chocolate egg out of it! we were all split into teams, i of course was manly pink ribbon team! come sun morning (circa 2am-5am) i woke up 7 times puking up on each occasion. on 4 of them there was already someone in the toilet, who was promptly kicked out! so the sun stockfest was out the question. damn it. missed out on time and a half......
Fri. we opened. came in to get my pic taken at 8am, left at 10am came back at 5 and stayed till 8. fun. one thing i love about my job is, i am showrooms. i sell the BIG shit. kitchens, bathroom, and furniture. mightn't mean much to most. but for me its 1% on all sales made by yours truely, and .5% on leads.leads being if i make the sale, and your man comes back tomorrow and buys off someone else. we got forms for that! raised by half a percent if i or my team hits our weekly target. doesnt sound like much but €5000 worth of kitchen, thats €50 pour moi.
i havent made a final sale ....yet....but i am the highest person on leads. which could be more worthwhile. and have 3 guys which i did quotes for that are "supposed" to come back, and because i did the quote and i gave them numbers no one can steal it! and my team leader wants me to make those sales as the time i spent with the customer.
so luck is turning up. i also missed out tho...on 4 hours treble time today. left my phone down stairs! that sucks! but cant wait till i hit the floor again this week! gong to sell €10000 worth of goods! pints for all!

my lucky day in hell!
Wow, this was my lucky day, even luckiest week i have had for months. i have been in a state of bad luck constantly since nov. Even before.
right it all kicked off as normal 08.00. got up, got a shower, rushed out the door no breakfast. Usual. Waited in the college from 9 till 12, for class to start. brought the old server up in that time. and....it worked!...kinda! sorting it out, but its simpler then the sun one! so i went to class, the luck was only beginning! i actually understood what was going on, still have to figure out the second half, but yea! got thru, out the other side with lunch, i went home to find that there was 4 letters sitting up on the table. 3 for me and 1 for my sister!
letter 1: blood donors, thanking me for giving blood and a donors card.
letter 2:homebase. letter of acceptance, yea!
letter 3:Irish opinions, giving me €10 hmv vouchers for my valued opinion.
woopie! alot of good news! nothing bad! my day then went up a gear once i recieved a call from the manager of subway carlow, informing that he just received my complaint(made about a month ago at this point). to correct it he has offered me free products and an a personal apolegy, yea.....so free food for me!Wow, this was my lucky day, even luckiest week i have had for months. i have been in a state of bad luck constantly since nov. Post 1
due to peer pressure, i have gotz me a blog. the last 7 days have been great and been demoralizing. it really started the Thursday the week before last when i went to an open call interview for Homebase. Post the interview i was invited back for an "assessment center". If anyone can tell me wtf that means, off the cuff, i hand you my hat. Why my hat? i don't know. so i came back in full suited regalia to this "assessment" only to find out that they actually wanted me in jeans and t-shirt! they wanted to see me in my element! But this didn't hinder me, not in the slightest. about 20-25 people showed up for my session, 6 sessions in total. moving swiftly on, I received a phonecall on Monday, bout 11, "hi this declan from homebase, am i speaking to mark?" "yes, speaking.""hi mark, i would like to offer you a position, would you accept?". At this point me smile was touching my ears. "yes,yes, oh god yes!""i guess your excited?""you cant see my smile!""thats good to hear!Iam glad to hear that!"so I accepted tues 5-9 wed 6-10 thurs6-10. so in case you wondering what hours i work there you go.
right another good/bad thing that happened is that we got a server. It cost the grand total of nothing! whats bad about that? well after exactly one week all we really have learnt and/or done is turned it on. If you understand sun systems, please, please please contact me before bobb kills me\destroys the server\goes on a rampage against sun microsystems or a commination of all the above.
other then that life is ticking along nicely, I wish i could get my head into a book, and into the gym(lets go HD!).
Oh! had a driving lesson today. lesson 4 with this Hibernian guy, Anthony, great instructor, worth ever penny, if your looking for someone! First things first, no fatalities, car came back in the same condition it went out in, and the instructors blood pressure isn't ...too....much higher then when i started, but i guess thats after years of expierence, i guess. so i am the intermediate module. it usually takes 6-8, even for drivers with a bit of time on the road(foreign nationals etc.). so im flying! other then that i am safe, got a job, going to get me a car soon! watch out carlow here i come on the road in my clio of death!
